3. Services we do not provide

  • Skilled nursing care of any kind, including medication administration, injections, wound care, catheter or tube care, and any task that requires a licensed nurse to perform.
  • Therapy (physical, occupational or speech), medical social work, hospice, or any service that needs a physician's order.
  • Medication administration by aides. CHHAs give reminders and help with self-administration only; they do not administer, pre-pour or change doses.
  • A CHHA training program. OnVerra does not operate, sponsor or partner in a homemaker-home health aide training program. We hire only aides who already hold current CHHA certification from the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
  • Uncertified caregivers. We do not place anyone to provide hands-on care who is not a certified CHHA.

If a client needs a service we do not provide, we tell the client or their representative and help them find a provider who offers it.

4. Who we can serve

We accept a client when our registered nurse has evaluated the client in their home and there is a reasonable expectation that we can meet the client's needs safely with the services in Section 2 and the staff we have available. If a client's needs change so that we can no longer meet them, we tell the client in writing, with the reason and the date services will stop, and help arrange a transfer.

5. Payment

OnVerra is not currently enrolled with New Jersey Medicaid, any managed care organization or any insurance company, and does not bill them. The charges, if any, and how they are paid are set out in each client's written service agreement before care begins.

6. Questions and complaints

Anyone may ask about our services or make a complaint to OnVerra, to CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Partner), or to the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, without fear of reprisal. Contact details are in the Client Bill of Rights given to every client at the start of care.
